About Learning By Design 2004: A Lesson in Excellence

About: Learning By Design > The Judges

 

Six distinguished judges examined and discussed more than 130 school, college, university, and specialized educational facility projects to cull the 19 exemplary projects that received 2007 Learning By Design awards.

The judges panel included:

  • John Chadwick, AIA, a principal at Perkins Eastman Architects PC, Arlington, Va.;
  • Mary P. Cox, AIA, university architect at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Va.;
  • Sean O’Donnell, AIA, LEED AP, an associate principal at Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects, Washington, D.C.;
  • Judy Marks, associate director of the National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities;
  • Ted Weidner, Ph.D., PE, AIA, assistant vice chancellor of facilities, management, and planning at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; and
  • Sarah Woodhead, AIA, director of design and construction for Arlington (Va.) Public Schools
